Influenced by Thomas Merton's "Angelic Mistakes," my painting aims to combine traditional landscapes and contemporary mark-making techniques, through the medium of acrylic inks and paint. In this painting I have used bold brushstrokes, cloth and palette knife work with fluid acrylics, inviting viewers to explore this seascape. Garal’ is the name for Wattle flora within Wiradjuri lands. The pompom and cylindrical mustard yellow flowers grow in profusion lighting the bushland.
